For years now, Electronic Music have been evolving from an underground artform to a universal means of expression and from boiling warehouses to big stages reuniting artists from all over the world. As the scene is getting bigger, it’s our duty, as a collective and association, to make sure, on our side, that the first and only message of cultural-driven genres like House Music is always there : My House is your House.
With this anniversary celebration, we officially announce that we are back to the raw! Our guest is the one and only Chicago-born and Berlin based, Robert Owens! This legend was there when House Music was born. He was a member of Fingers Inc with Larry Heard as a godfather of Deep House (and the unique voice of the whole genre). He even collaborated with the early explosive Frankie Knuckles and even shared a Boiler Room session with him! With him both singing and mixing, we’ll be floating together between time and space, living a true House Music party.
This special reunion will gather some of Downtown Vibes’ crew and usual favorite : the blasting force Hamdi Ryder, Ferta and one of Tunisia’s elevating young DJs, Bedoui. The party will take place in 117 Gammarth on the 13th of November. With our next posts, we’ll be assisting you in discovering more our guest and we’ll be updating you regarding our meeting.
